Layan is an upmarket area on Phuket's north-west coast, set around the quiet Layan Beach and the northern end of Bang Tao, right next to the Laguna Phuket resort complex. It pairs a secluded setting, green hills and a national park with high-end resort property: pool villas, club-style residences and modern condominium developments.

Buying property in Layan makes most sense if you come in before the area is fully built out. Cranes are at work on almost every plot, and the main wave of completions falls in 2027 and 2028. As a result, two markets sit within the same boundaries: premium beachfront property and more affordable stock in the eastern part, near the future lakes.
